The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) uncovered a mass grave in rural Hama this evening while combing through areas that were previously occupied by the Islamic State (ISIS).
According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Arab Army uncovered a mass grave containing tens of corpses.
The source said the grave contained the bodies of women and children who were executed by the Islamic State (ISIS) during their 2015 offensive in the Salamiyah countryside.
Source added that the grave was filled with beheaded bodies near the Aqareb Dam, which was a stronghold for ISIS during the Syrian Arab Army’s offensive against them in 2017.
