A Syrian girl who had
her legs amputated two years ago is gradually leading a normal life after
receiving treatment in Russia.
Sidra Zaarur, 13
years old, lost her legs when jihadi militants of Nusra Front hit her
neighborhood with mortars and homegrown missiles in 2016.
Sidra's sister –
along with her two little children – was killed in the attack.
At the local hospital
while she was receiving initial treatment, a Russian officer who was accidentally
present there offered to transport the poor girl to Russia to resume recovery.
The girl has by now
returned to school and is almost leading a normal life with her family and
friends.
